Labor Day, September 2, 2024 -- UC Laboratory will be closed.
Friday: Samples will be accepted until the lab closes (Summer & Winter hours vary). Any total coliform bacteria samples received after 12:00 (noon) on Friday will be set up on Saturday morning.
Saturday/Sunday: US Postal Service and drop box will be checked but no samples will be processed until Monday.
We understand that emergencies do come up.

Please contact the lab for the appropriate bottles and chain of custody. For your convenience, they can be picked up at the lab or mailed to you.
For home loans requiring a third party to take the sample, please contact the lab to set up an appointment for one of our highly trained technicians to come take the sample.

Prior arrangements need to be made and the price doubles for Bacteria and Nitrate samples brought in on a Friday.
Directions to take the sample:
* If you are requesting a lead test, you must collect the water as a 1st draw after an 6 hour period of not running water.
* Not following these instructions completely may result in a false positive test result.

Note, that not all laboratories will have a full scope of PFAS analytes. You will want to make sure the laboratory you choose to work with has Minnesota accreditation (MNELAP).
